Kathleen Farrell
received her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy from The
Family Institute at Northwestern University along with extensive
clinical training at The Family Institute’s Bette D. Harris Family and
Child Clinic. She believes that change begins within.
Kathleen works with individuals, families, and couples of all ages,
backgrounds, and beliefs systems and utilizes an integrative perspective
to best serve her clients’ needs. She has additional training in
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and her areas of clinical interest
include Adoption; Blended Families; Body Image/Eating Disorders;
Co-Parenting; Yoga; Depression and Anxiety; Life Transitions; LGBTQ; and work with Children/Adolescents.
In addition to being a therapist, Kathleen is a certified group fitness
instructor and personal trainer. She values the connection between the
mind and body and enjoys working with clients to strengthen this
connection, leading to a more grounded and empowered sense of being.
Kathleen encourages the exploration of mind-body-energy connection in
therapy, and sees our health, thoughts, feelings, and actions as
intrinsically linked to one another.
